You have no choice, however, in whether to use Cortana or Bing. If you want to stop Bing, you can edit the Windows registry. In Windows 10, everything you search for in the Start Menu is forwarded to the server. You have now successfully disabled Microsoft Edge and Bing in Windows 10. Toggle the switch next to both Edge and Bing to the Off position. Under the ‘Get Notifications from these senders’ section, scroll down until you find Microsoft Edge and Bing. Click on ‘Notifications & Actions’ in the left-hand menu. In the Settings window, click on the ‘System’ icon. Type ‘Settings’ into the Windows 10 Search bar and click on the first result. If you are not a fan of Microsoft Edge or Bing, you can disable both of them in Windows 10.
